TWO NARROW ESCAPES.
CLUNES, Saturday. - Henry Roberts, an employee at Eberhard and Co.'s cordial manufactory, was carrying a jar of sulphuric acid, when the bottom came out, and the contents flowed over him. He immediately jumped into a tub of water near by. His boots, socks, trousers and apron were burnt. Roberts was subsequently packing soda water, when a bottle burst and lacerated his lip.
